   The approval of specialized critics and the audience’s response confirm Jorge Nava as one of the referents amongst Spanish pianists, being one of the most laureate pianists of his generation as a prizewinner of more than 20 competitions like the “Maria Canals” International Competition, “Premio Jaen” International Competition, “Premio Iturbi” International Competition or the “Santa Cecilia” International Competition.

   Born in Santander, he started his musical education with Irina Efanova at the National Conservatory of Music in Bolivia. He received his Bachelor degree at the Liceu Conservatory studying with Stanislav Pochekin and both his Master degree and Artist Diploma as a pupil of Dmitri Alexeev at the Royal College of Music.

   He also received financial support from the Obra Social "La Caixa", Botin Foundation, Asociación de Intérpretes y Ejecutantes, Liceu Conservatory and the Royal College of Music.

   As a soloist he has worked with orchestras such as Bolivian National Symphonic Orchestra, Liceu Conservatory Orchestra, RTVE Symphonic Orchestra, Murcia Symphonic Orchestra, Madrid Philharmonia, Orquesta de Valencia, Ciudad de Granada Orchestra, Kaunas City Symphony, Atlantic Coast Orchestra and Medellin Philharmonic.

   He appeared in concert in major venues as Palau de la Música Catalana, Auditorio Nacional de Música, Manuel de Falla Hall, Palacio de Festivales, Amaryllis Fleming Hall, and in countries as Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Lithuania, France, Holland, Portugal, England and Italy.

   As a chamber musician he is a founding member of the Trio Casablancas. He shared stage with great musicians as Alexander Rudin, Aliya Vodovozova, Mariano Garcia, Bacarisse Trio, Breton Quartet, Cosmos Quartet among others.

  His discography includes albums published by "Orpheus Classical" and "Columna Musica" in which Russian and French music from XXth century are explored in Russian Portraits and Parfums Sonores.

    He combines his concert perfomances with teaching at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Aragon. His performances have been broadcast across Spain by RNE, Catalunya Musica, TVE and TV3.
